>A SIMPLE GESTURE…Yazım tarihi: Mayıs 7, 2009
This morning, it was just an ordinary day….Actually, I realized later that it was a beautiful day full of sunshine….We were waiting our usual Thursday students at the workshop…They arrived towards 11 am as usual ..As usual we started to discuss some new creations by having a cup of morning tea…
It was our lunch time, I prepared some little snacks for myself and went to the garden to sunbathe while eating my lunch…First I heard the door bell…I saw from the corridor, someone entered to the workshop with a big bunch of daisy flowers…Of course, my eyes got bigger, flowers were gorgeous, so I was curious about her… I left my plate onto the garden table and went inside……At the same time she saw me and approched to me…She was obviously very excited…with a big smile on her face, she said “You are Mrs. Ece, right?”I said “yes?” with a big smile on my face…I got excited as well…She handed the flowers to me and said ” I know you very well from your blog, I came all the way from Istanbul just to meet you, your heart is as beautiful as these daisies..” I was speechless, I blushed from head to toe, I was so honoured, somehow I thought of hugging her…She said again “I really just came to meet you only, I am a great fun of you, my friends in Istanbul and me are reading your blog everyday, we appreciate you everyday and I am so happy by visiting your workshop and breathing the same air with you right now…”….I would never have imagined this adventurous path my blog has taken me on when I first starting blogging just 7 short months ago…
When I first started my blog, I thought it would be merely an extension of my workshop that I could use it only to update my customers about new painted objects and let them know about some of the painting techniques.
But my blog turned into so much more!!! Now, here I am today with many many posts and almost a 17.000 visitors! I never saw that coming when I first started this!
I’ve met the most amazing creative ladies all around the world whom I now call dear friends.
I am sure that most bloggers will understand this! My blog friends are located all around the world and through email, we are as close as friends….
I really love blogging. I love it more than I ever expected to!I’ve met so many wonderful people in bloggerland. All those lovely friends are just in a finger’s reach. Everyone is as close as a post and we stay in touch often through heart felt comments. There is so much beauty out there! It is the same for me… I am followers of a huge amount of bloggers and I love to leave a comment and let them know that I was thinking of them today. Sometimes that’s all a person really needs to hear.In bloggerland, everyone is so positive and kind… I love that it has opened up a new world for me. I love the fact that I can get lost and escape to a beautiful world, even if it is just for a while I love that I can share my life with people who appreciate what I have to give, whether it is a new item we have created that day or a beautiful photo or… just myself.
I love getting to know you through your comments, emails and even meeting some of you in person! I know there are many lurkers out there and I think of you often. Before I was a blogger, I was a lurker. I was reading all the blogs but I was never feeling comfortable leaving a comment. It seemed to me that it was nonsense, who would care my words? But, then I realized the most important vital part is the comments!!because it just wouldn’t be the same without you
So, I just want to say to all my lurkers…PLEASE join in! Leave a comment! I know you are out there! Just say hi!
I love that you came and read all the way through. I love the time we shared together. I love seeing you. I love meeting those of you for the first time today. But most of all, I love wishing that you’ll be back for another visit soon. I’ll be here!No where else in the world do you find a community of people who leave amazing encouraging words on a daily basis for one another. People write from their heart, create from their heart and touch my heart.
Thank you visiting me and thank you again for those gorgeous flowers…You were my guest all day at the workshop with open arms and we had a great time together…Of course the best part being together, was creating the beautiful kitchen plaque…I hope it will always bring you “good luck”…Please remember me everytime you look at those fresh red apples!!( you all know, red apples are always my favorite crafty things)…I love you, Özden…
